Ochil & South Perthshire MP Gordon Banks has reacted positively to figures released by the Committee of Scottish Clearing Bankers which shows Ochil & South Perthshire amongst the highest areas in Scotland for business start ups registered with banks. The area comes fifth, falling behind city areas such as Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Gordon Banks said – “These figures are fantastic news for our area and highlight the resilience of towns across the area to support and nurture businesses.”
“Clearly city centres like Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow are always going to figure highly in these statistics but it is a truly remarkable achievement for Ochil & South Perthshire to be featured so highly in the statistics.”
